This lava lamp is shaped like a rocket and the wax inside is also a magnetic fluid called ferrofluid.
The ferrofluid responds to a magnetic field by attracting and repelling and creating geometric spikey patterns.
The ferrofluid flows up and down on it's own when turned on just like a classical lava lamp does. Ferrofluid is solid and non flowing when turned off.
